Our client, a leading discreet manufacturing company, is seeking a talented and results-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their executive team. As the COO, you will play a crucial role in driving our operational strategy, ensuring seamless production processes, and optimizing our manufacturing capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall operational strategy, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives.
- Drive process improvements across all manufacturing operations, utilizing your expertise in Six Sigma methodologies.
- Optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality control through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
- Oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effective production, and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and supply chain, to streamline processes and improve product development timelines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to drive operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or a similar leadership role within the discreet manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in implementing Six Sigma methodologies, driving process improvements, and achieving operational excellence.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully optimizing manufacturing operations, reducing costs, and improving overall efficiency.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, capable of aligning operational goals with broader organizational objectives.
